BeastyBaker

A trilingual online bakery — Russian, English, and Armenian — with a custom cart, Stripe checkout, and an order dashboard for the owner. Hand-coded, so the storefront loads in under 1.8 seconds on a phone.

The problem

The bakery was taking orders the way most small food businesses do — through messages and phone calls. Every order meant back-and-forth about flavors, sizes, pickup times, and payment. And with customers who prefer to read in Russian, English, or Armenian, a single-language site would have left most of the audience out.

The approach

I built the storefront from scratch instead of stretching a Shopify theme over it. A custom cart keeps the ordering flow as short as possible; Stripe handles card payments; and every page exists in all three languages with proper per-language URLs, so each language can rank in search on its own.

Behind the storefront sits an order-management dashboard: the owner sees every incoming order, its status, and its details on one screen — no more digging through message threads.

The result

Customers pick, order, and pay online in their own language, on any device. Because the site is hand-coded with no theme or plugin overhead, the mobile load time stays under 1.8 seconds — speed that both customers and Google reward.
